In 1923 additional land was given by Arthur H.\nand Bessie N. Waite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; It took three attempts to establish a\npermanent Christian work in the community of Clark&#8217;s Corners. The third try\nproved to be successful and permanent. Rev. Paul Streib from the Randolph\nBaptist Church began with a Sunday School in the schoolhouse in 1937 which\neventually became Clark&#8217;s Corners Community Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In January of 1948 the one room\nschoolhouse was consolidated in the Falconer Central School District. The church\ncontinued to meet there and was pastored by several different ministers. The\nbuilding was put up for sale by public auction on September 18, 1957 and the\nchurch bid $2200 and won the purchase thanks to J. Ray Seekins who agreed to\nhold the mortgage remaining after the church paid all it could-$220-on the day\nof sale. Many members of the community returned their tax checks from the sale\nof the school over to the church to help pay the mortgage.
